"The Secret Letter"-From Iraq-Slaughterhouse-Five
On the contrary to the piece published by Kurt Vonnegut, the "Secret Letter" by anonymous has some similarities with Slaughterhouse-Five. Like how K.Vonnegut is not very fond of going to war, having to do with anything. Like Slaughterhouse-Five, the Secret Letter form Iraq contains various amounts of deja vu. Examples from Slaughterhouse Five: Billy pilgrim has deja vu thoughts of tralfamadore and has very disturbed mind. from "Secret Letter": the soldier accounts his deja vu while arriving in Fallujah and noticing that it was a home to several midgets. 26 midgets to be exact. Both characters of each piece were individualized by what each of them had to go through like war, different accounts of deaths, deja vu, and considering different beliefs. Both pieces Slaughterhousehouse Five and Secret Letter from Iraq were of different stories but were similar in thoughts and encountering different events and beliefs.

slaughter-house-5: ?>How do Tralfamadorians view the universe compared to my view of the universe?
Well, what is Tralfamadore? Tralfamadore is basically a planet and it has its own species named Tralfamadorians. These things fly saucers to and from, Earth . The Tralfamadorians view the universe as being able to start fresh considering that most things do die off some day but they(tralfamadorians) believe that they are not dead forever. Tralfamadorians see the earth and time as moments happening at different times. "The most important thing i learned on tralfamadorians was that when a person dies he only appears to
die." Tralfamadorians viewed us earthlings as being lucky to see 3-dimensional when they can not. we earthlings view the universe as being a whole world of places and planets that revolve around eachother while planet earth is one of the many planets. Basically all the stars, gas, planets, and moons are partly what makes the universe, with the exception of different life-forms.

Some war movies may help promote war like the battles that were between the non-native people against the native people. Men are like mice and babies when it comes to war because sometimes they will fight for no reason and if there is a reason, it's a bad reason. Movies like "The Patriot," are the real wars people can fight for like how Mel Gibson did for his children and his family. Another movie that is somewhat brutal is "American History X." This movie promotes war between the Nazis and English Americans over what is right and what is wrong. The movie is about a young man who has killed other races for not believing in the same things that he did. After he kills some perpetrators he is sent to prison for a number of yrs. As the man returns home from jail he has changed from being a raged prejudice to the compromising adult. The thing that all of a sudden brought up this change was the fact that this man was being sabotaged in prison. He had been raped in prison for murdering the different and was treated horribly. Upon his return home he finds his younger brother following his steps and finishing what he has started-which is to kill and beat those who have different beliefs or is of different color. Now that this older brother is back, he has to help others believe in equality, especially is brother. If fighting for land, people should make a compromise. When it comes to human lives, some people just need to stop and think.
